College-bound students can explore 100+ programs of study offered at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) during two Open House events held on March 5 at the Gloucester campus and March 12 at the Cumberland campus, from 5-7 p.m.
Prospective students will learn how to fund their education with NJ STARS, the Community College Opportunity grant, financial aid, and scholarships; and become familiar with free support services, paid internship and apprenticeship opportunities, athletic programs, and student honor societies and clubs. Visitors can work through any questions or concerns with the help of College advisors, faculty, financial aid, and admissions personnel. Campus tours will also be available.
“I am super excited. The campus is fabulous, and I am delighted with all the things I learned today," expressed last year's Open House attendee, Auna M.
Open House will feature information on programs offered in cooperation with Flagship Partner, Rowan University, including the opportunity to live on Rowan University's Glassboro campus and save big on tuition through Rowan Choice. At 6 p.m. a special information session will be held where attendees can discover opportunities to earn a bachelor's degree in select majors for less than $30,000 through Rowan 3+1.
“I was talking to my guidance counselor about going to a community college because going to a big university seemed like a huge step for me and it's a nice money decision, too," reflected a fellow attendee of last year's event, Isabel O. “The campus is also close to my house and, because RCSJ is affiliated with Rowan University and I want to go there, I wanted to see my options and opportunities."
Prospective students in the Behavioral Sciences and Law & Social Justice, Business Studies, and Nursing & Health Professions divisions can learn about priority clinical and internship placements, career opportunities, and other benefits through RCSJ's divisional premier partners – Acenda Integrated Health, Inspira Health, and Rastelli Foods Group.
“I'm really interested in seeing what I want to do with my life," shared 2024 Open House attendee, Taelin S. “I have no idea yet and I'm trying to figure it all out, and RCSJ is a great place to do it."
The Gloucester campus Open House will be held on March 5, from 5-7 p.m. in the Physical Education Center/Gymnasium. The Cumberland campus Open House will be held on March 12, from 5-7 p.m. in the Student Services Center/Gymnasium.
